As an Emissary user, the first action you'll take after setting up your password is logging in! In this article we'll provide images and terms to ensure you can find all Emissary's features and functions from this point on.

Logging into an Emissary account brings the user to the account home page.

The home page is split into 2 sections:

1) The Navigation Menu Pane (on the left)

2) The Dashboard

1) Navigation Menu Pane

The Navigation pane provides quick access to:

  • Your inbox

  • Contact list

  • Campaigns

  • Drip Campaigns

  • Navigation to Calendar Integration and Metrics (User Management and Shared Templates if you are an admin)

  • User Profile Menu (with navigation to Contact Us, Help, User Preferences, and the ability to Logout)

To expand the navigation menu, hover over the pane and select the pin icon.

The menu pane is laid out as follows:

Company name and the ability to search

Account name and phone number- the expanded view shows the options to navigate further into:

Inbox- start or manage existing conversations

Contacts- access, search or create new

Campaigns- create or modify existing single-message campaigns

Drip Campaigns- create or modify existing multi-message campaigns

Metrics- understand interactions with contacts through response rate data

User Profile- with various support options

The User Profile

This section of the navigation pane has the following links:

Contact Us- [email protected] for help with questions, issues, and requests

Switch account- move to another account (only applicable for those with multiple accounts)

Help- open the Emissary Knowledge Base of How-To Articles, FAQs, Troubleshooting and Tips

User preferences- Where users can adjust Inbox settings (more on this in the section below)

Logout- use this link to log out of Emissary

The User Preferences Screen

Through the Inbox settings, select whether and when to shorten links in your messages, or set up and Out of Office Auto-Response:

2) Dashboard

This pane provides the user with another way to take action by accessing the Inbox, Contacts, Campaigns, and Drip Campaigns sections from the home page.

Note: If there are multiple account numbers each will be displayed on the dashboard. Users can scroll down to navigate to any of these sections for each number.

What next?

From here we recommend you learn about how to send a text message from the Inbox, or select from the full set of the Getting Started articles created to guide users through onboarding.
